Singing Workshop in Miami, Florida

Join us for a five-day, beach-side singing workshop in sunny Miami. Enjoy daily lessons, vocal coaching, and a performance at the end of the week. Miles of white sandy beaches and warm winter sun set the scene for an unforgettable musical experience.
James Janssen Piano Master Class
November 2027
This master class offers individual coaching with the internationally acclaimed pianist and composer James Janssen. Participants receive detailed guidance on their pieces while observing other pianists in an open class. The day concludes with a public performance in the concert hall at The Hap'ning Place Music Studio in Crouch End.
James Janssen debuted at age 13 with the Anderson Symphony and trained at Indiana University and Oberlin College’s Baroque Performance Institute. He currently teaches in Chicago and directs Haydn by the Lake.
Mark Crayton Singers Master Class

World renowned countertenor Mark Crayton visits The Hap’ning Place to coach our singers in a week of Master Classes. This is a unique opportunity to work with this exceptional professor visiting from his Chicago studio at Roosevelt University.
Performance Workshop with Megan Thomas & Robert Lydiard

International performers Megan Thomas and Robert Lydiard lead a two-day workshop for singers in Crouch End. Covering audition techniques, CV presentation, vocal styles, voice-over, and advertising jingles, this master class prepares students for real-world performance challenges.
Megan Thomas has performed worldwide, including with the Metropolitan Opera, while Bob Lydiard has appeared on stages, films, and commercials globally. Students benefit from their insight into controlling nerves and delivering spontaneous, confident performances.
Schubertiade – Schubert Songs Coached by Patrick Leresche

Swiss pianist Patrick Leresche leads a master class focusing on Schubert’s songs. Participants explore interpretation, style, and technique, culminating in a public performance at The Hap'ning Place Music Studio in Crouch End and during the Crouch End Festival in June.
Patrick’s experience includes staff accompanist work at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, theatrical projects on Robert Schumann, and live BBC Radio Three performances.
Overcome Stage Fright with Angela Elliott

Angela Elliott, a renowned performance therapist, offers workshops to help instrumentalists and singers manage nerves. Using creative visualization techniques, Angela helps students build confidence and perform at their best. Her clients include Grammy-nominated artists, BBC Jazz Award winners, and Hollywood performers.
Movement and Voice Workshop
